FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
As most residents are aware, we have
suffered a severe drought which in turn has caused our lakes to be
at an all time low. Washington
County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind the community that
it is a criminal offense to drive around or through lake beds and
anyone found participating in this illegal activity could be
charged. Driving
around or through lake beds results in extreme and often
irreparable damage to the lake bed which is why it is protected
under Florida Law.
