Two local burglary cases solved

Two local burglary cases have been closed by investigators at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.  Michael L Roberts, 36 year old white male, and Alissia Leigh Pritchard, 30 year old white female, both from the Jacksonville area, have been charged with 2 counts of burglary and grand theft in the case of a burglary that occurred at a residence on Cane Mill Road in Chipley.  Mr. Roberts and Ms. Pritchard have also been charged with armed burglary and grand theft in the case of a burglary at a residence on Shore Line Drive in Chipley.  Both burglaries occurred in the first part of March, over $5,000 in jewelry and antique coins were taken from the Cane Mill Road residence and over 12,000 in antique coins and jewelry and two firearms were taken from the residence on Shore Line Drive .  The majority of the property has been recovered.  

“We want the public to know that the resolution of these recent burglary cases is our investigators highest priority.  We have already made some key arrests due to the extensive investigative work by Sgt. Mark Collins and Sgt. Kenny Brock.  It’s because of dedicated work by officers like this that we are able to track these people down before they can victimize another person”, states Sheriff Haddock.
