Annual Report on Outdoor Grow Investigations places Washington County number two in state for eradication

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Eradication Unit had a busy year last year and publication of the Annual Report on Outdoor Grow Investigations proves it.  The Annual Report is part of the Florida’s Domestic Marijuana Eradication Program and the outdoor grow investigations is overseen, administered and reported on by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Office of Agriculture Law Enforcement (OALE).  The report reflects information provided by 47 sheriff offices and 6 municipal law enforcement agencies from 49 counties.

The Washington County Eradication Unit eradicated 2,172 live growing plants from outdoor and indoor sites with the county.  The unit has also produced four arrests in connection with the illegal growing of marijuana, the low estimated street value of this marijuana is approximately $1,086,000.00  “Our eradication team worked extremely hard this year and to receive these kind results in comparison to the rest of the state makes all the hard work and long hours worthwhile,” states Sheriff Haddock.
