Two Sentenced for Burglary Charges

Washington County Sheriff’s Office announces the sentencing of Brandon Wise, 26 year old white male, from the Vernon area.  Wise was sentenced to 44.4 months Department of Corrections for charges of armed burglary, grand theft, and felony possession of a firearm.  The sentence carries a mandatory 3 years Department of Corrections for the felony possession of a firearm charge. 

Also sentenced was Matthew Pate, 29 year old white male, from the Caryville area.  Pate was sentenced to 12.5 years Department of Corrections for charges of burglary and grand theft.  Pate will follow his sentence with 5 years probation. 

“We have made the resolution of local burglary cases one of our top priorities”, states Sheriff Haddock.  “While there is work left to be done, we are pleased that we can bring these cases to a successful end.”
