FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Indoor marijuana growth operation shut down, one faces manufacturing charges

On Tuesday, May 22, 2007 Washington County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators executed a search warrant on 2205 Lillard Lane in the Caryville area of Washington County .  The search of this residence was the result of a three month long investigation into indoor marijuana growth operations housed in Washington County . Investigators’ search of the property revealed 120 growing marijuana plants, 4 pounds processed marijuana, narcotics equipment and several firearms.  Debra Brady, 47 year old white female was taken into custody and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, manufacturing marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

“Marijuana production is far more advanced than techniques used 10, even 5 years ago” states Sheriff Haddock.  “Drug dealers are growing drugs more efficiently, more potent, and faster so our investigators work twice as hard to stay one step ahead.  Having an indoor drug operation is far from a sure bet, we will not stop until we find the illegal drugs, wherever people choose to produce them.”
