Saturday, May 17, 2008 Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped a vehicle during routine patrol on Singer Road for a traffic infraction.  During questioning, the deputy smelled the odor of both marijuana and alcohol inside the vehicle.  The deputies searched the vehicle and found 3 ounces of marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle.  The driver, Michael Lee Gaudette, 24 year old white male from the Fountain area, was arrested and charged with possession of narcotic equipment and possession of marijuana.

“Our deputies are committed to traveling every back road and far corner of this county to ensure that there is no “safe haven” for illegal drugs” states Sheriff Haddock.  “I am proud of the work these deputies do and our streets are safer because of them.”
