Three charged with local robbery

A local burglary which occurred on Wednesday, March 28^th, has been closed by investigators at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.  Kecia Nicole Watford Johnson, 21 year old white female, Michael Ray Land, 26 year old white male, and Derek Lance Bush, 19 year old white male have been charged with the burglary of a residence on Highway 79 in Washington County .  Over $7000.00 in jewelry and several medications were stolen from the residence.  Investigators recovered several items from the suspects’ home at 1680 Franks Lane in Holmes County .  Additional items were found along the roadside near the suspects’ home and at a local pawn shop. 

“In addition to the great work of our investigative team, we would like to acknowledge the assistance of Lt. Chris Wells with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office and Investigator Andrew Johnson with the State Attorney’s office”, states Sheriff Haddock.  “Without the help of these officers, these suspects would not have been located so quickly.   We understand the key to solving these and other burglary cases is the collaboration of other law enforcement agencies and we intend to make it our common goal get each and every one of those responsible for the burglaries that have been a thorn in the side of both Washington County and several of our neighboring counties.
